PROCESS

Color. Color. Color.

I revel in working with monochromatic schemes, finding beauty in subtle variations and contrasts — think 50 shades of purple.

My goal is to ensure that the colors are harmonious, creating a cohesive look. Added depth comes from incorporating a range of tones and textures that invite a tactile experience.

A piece of paper is worth a thousand words.

The handmade paper I use is sourced from around the world, representing diverse cultures and traditions. Like the stories I tell, paper comes in various forms. Each piece incorporates a rich mix of material: newspaper, tree bark, grass, banana leaves, cardboard, magazines, amusement park tickets, candy wrappers, and more — no paper is off limits!

Imperfection is perfection.

Each piece of paper is hand-cut and intuitively placed, so not everything is straight, crisp, or perfectly aligned. Life and art are full of unexpected twists, and these collages reflect the beauty of embracing that imperfection.

It’s good to color outside the lines.

Shower someone with delight.

The true power of art lies in its unmatched ability to spark joy and bring happiness.
